Through a careful reading and lively discussion, we will examine the many facets of Charles Dickens’s first novel The Pickwick Papers, considered to be the first real publishing phenomenon in the English speaking world, as well as other works by Dickens.

Professor Ehrstine’s seminars have been very popular and highly regarded. Texts, as well as films to aid in the study, will be available at the Library. Seating is limited, so sign-up early to reserve your seat.
