Garden of the Mind

Wilsonville Library’s Garden of the Mind sculpture, located on the patio outside the Children’s Room, takes its name from former Director Stephen Turner’s observation that a library is a ‘garden of the mind’. The sculpture was designed and created by local artist Dallas Cole, and portrays the personal joys and rewards to the community provided by books and reading.

The sculpture was commissioned and purchased by the Wilsonville Public Library Foundation entirely without the use of public funding.
