Groundbreaking Reads!
This summer, explore Groundbreaking Reads! All Clackamas County library card holders ages 18 and older can join in the fun. Complete a Tic-Tac-Toe or a Book Review for entry into the Grand Prize Drawing at the end of summer.
The summer reading program starts Monday, June 10, for kids and teens, too!
What is the Adult Summer Reading Program?
An opportunity for adults to read books and win prizes this summer.
Who can participate?
Adult Clackamas County library card holders. If you don’t have a library card, just ask at the Circulation Desk and we will help you get one.
What can I read?
Any book or audiobook that you want to read!
How do I sign-up?
There is no sign-up.
So what do I do?
Read! Choose how you want to play: Tic-Tac-Toe or Book Reviews, or both.
Pick up a Tic-Tac-Toe card and read books in the different genres to make 3 squares in a row. When you have finished a book, write the book’s title and author in the appropriate square. When you have a Tic-Tac-Toe, turn in the Tic-Tac-Toe Card at the Library. Each Tic-Tac-Toe Card you turn in will give you another entry in the Grand Prize Drawing. Last day to turn in Tic-Tac-Toe Cards is Saturday, August 31st.
Three books too much pressure? Want to share your thoughts on the books you have read? Then fill out a Book Review form! Each Book Review form you turn in will give you another entry into a separate Grand Prize Drawing. Last day to turn in Book Reviews is Saturday, August 31st.
When is the Grand Prize Drawing?
The Grand Prize Drawing will be held Tuesday, September 3rd.
What are the prizes?
Prizes include movie tickets and gift certificates to local businesses. Prizes will be mailed to winners.
It all starts Monday, June 10. Stop by the Library to pick up the forms, or download the packet here. For an advanced Tic-Tac-Toe, the latest news, and book reviews, visit our blog. Maybe you'll find that next great read!
