Pudd'nhead Wilson is a Northern lawyer who comes to a small Missouri town. The townspeople give him the nickname "Pudd'nhead" and refuse to give him their legal work. He spends most of his time dabbling in fingerprinting, which helps him solve a town mystery. Classic Mark Twain.

Wrongly convicted of murder and punished by being sealed in the tomb with the dead man, seventeen-year-old Selwyn enlists the help of a witch and the resurrected victim to find the true killer.
