The Seed Library

The Seed Library is "where Wilsonville grows." This collection of seeds is available to all visitors. To expand the Seed Library we gladly accept commercial seeds packs partially used and new as donations. Open pollinated and non-GMO seeds are preferred.

We also accept seeds saved from your garden. We encourage you to learn seed saving. Consider donating seeds from your best plants to The Seed Library; this will help ensure quality seed is available next year.

How to check-out seeds?

Come to the library and select up to 10 seed plant varieties from the cabinet. On The Seed Library envelope write the plant name, variety and planting notes for each seed type. Place your selected seeds into the envelopes then take to staff for check-out. That's it!

There is no due date on seeds, but we encourage you to donate back to The Seed Library any commercial surplus seeds to the library or saved seeds from your garden.

SEED LIBRARY DISCLAIMER

There is no guarantee that seeds from the SEED LIBRARY or the SEED SWAP will grow or that the plants will be what is listed on the seed packet label. Many seeds shared by this Seed Library were grown by community members with love and care like our ancestors have done for thousands of years. Please know they may not meet state germination or labeling standards.

By accepting seeds from the SEED LIBRARY you agree to waive, on your own behalf and on behalf of anyone else, any and all claims of liability against the Wilsonville Public Library, or the City of Wilsonville, its trustees and employees, for any injury or any form of loss which may result from the use of the seeds obtained from the SEED LIBRARY.

We do not knowingly accept or share any seeds that are chemically treated, patented, or genetically modified.
